Career Description:

The account administrator provides assistance and support to the finance manager.  One is tasked to maintain the accounting system and provide client services.  He is responsible for processing purchase, invoices and other purchase transactions. The handling of sale invoices, credit control and collection also falls in his hands.  Incomes, payments, reconciliation and replenishment are processed, recorded and issued by an account administrator.

Together with the finance manager, the account administrator prepares the required financial information and maintains financial procedures.  It is his job to maintain all filing systems, customer accounts and employee accounts.  He makes sure that these are secured and accurate.  Any suspicious or unauthorized use of an account is reported by the account administrator.  The account administrator must have good organizational, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

How to become an Account Administrator

The aspiring account administrator must earn a degree in business administration.  One must gain an experience in administration and account maintenance.  It is a must that an aspiring account administrator is knowledgeable with the various computer software and applications used for this type of career.  Gain much practical experience to be able to handle real world issues and situations.  Continue to learn and take courses to hone and develop skills.  Be updated with the current business trends and strategies to know what to would benefit an organization.
