Career Description:

Account services are provided for by an account services representative.  The account services representative handles financial accounts.  He is tasked to handle queries and complaints of clients regarding their accounts, billing and payments.   Queries and feedback regarding other account services provided by the organization are also handled by him.  Some customer or client complaints and issues are resolved by the account services representative.

Another aspect of his career is selling and marketing of various products and services of the financial organization.  Clients or customers are provided information and details of a specific product or service offered.  With the guidance and direction of a supervisor, the account services representative is able to resolve any issues raised by a client or customer.  An account services representative should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

How to become an Account Services Representative

To be able to have a career as an account services representative, one has to at least earn a high school diploma of GED.  Focus on acquiring skills in communication, math, accounting and computer applications.  Gain relevant experience in the field of customer service.  On-the-job training is provided by the employer for one to be familiar with the organization’s products, services and policies.   Acquire deeper knowledge and more skills by earning marketing courses or degree.  Continue to learn and be updated with the new trends and strategies to become more equipped in doing the job.
