The passenger service agent, on the other hand, directly interacts with passengers at terminals, counters or boarding gate. He is tasked to help passengers book flights in person. To become an airline customer service agent, one has to have a high school diploma. But to have better employment opportunities, one can earn a certificate, diploma or degree in travel technology, tourism, travel sales and other related field. There are also internships available for aspiring airline travel agents. Internships help one gain practical experience or have a view of what goes on in this type of career. Favor is given if one has knowledge of another language since an airline caters to different nationalities.
