An aspiring bar manager must have relevant years of experience in food service and hospitality industry.  Having a degree in restaurant and hospitality management, though it is not a requirement, will prove to be advantageous.  There are training programs for bar management which may also help in making it to bar management position.  Training programs will help one gain practical experience.  Certifications are also given after taking the required courses.  Applying for a job in an entry-level position will help one get started.  One must learn everything he can and prove himself worthy of the position of a bar manager.
