A bartender career revolves around mixing and serving drinks to patrons and clients within a restaurant, bar, hotel, or private party environment. Some of the job responsibilities of a bar tender includes serving drinks as ordered, checking identification of customers to verify age, taking care of all bar equipments, cleaning bar and work area, serving snacks or other menu items, supervising the work of other bartenders or in-house staff, planning bar menus, preparing appetizers, and creating drink recipes or cocktail or mocktail recipes.

How to become a Bartender:

There are some basic requirements for those who want to pursue a bartender career. In order to become a bartender, you need to be at least 18 years of age or more. Educational requirement is quite flexible and you can apply for this job after high school or after completing your graduation in any discipline. Alternatively, you can also complete a certification course in bartending and hospitality industry. Positive attitude, ability to work with a team, excellent inter-personal skills and communication, pleasant personality, ability to move trays and drinks swiftly, and knowledge of operating a point-of-sale system are very important requirements of this position.
