Commercial real estate revolves around business properties.  Business properties include office buildings, warehouses, malls, industrial parks, hotels and medical centers.  This industry houses different types of professionals in specific fields.  Depending on one’s background and experience, one can get into sales, marketing, financing, consulting, financing, management, or construction. One lucrative career in commercial real estate is that of a commercial real estate agent.  The commercial real estate is responsible for the sale of business properties.   He is to assist a buyer or a seller in their transactions.  To do this he has to have financial information or data about the property.  He can assist his client by giving him options in acquiring or selling a business property.

How to Become a Commercial Real Estate Agent

Though a high school diploma is enough to help you start as a commercial real estate agent, a degree in real estate will give one an edge in the job market.  Having a degree, specifically in real estate, will help one gain more knowledge and skills required for this position.  One must have excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.  A commercial real estate agent must be able to deal with different types of people.  A license is also required for this profession.  One may obtain a real estate license by passing an exam administered by the state.
