Engineering Career Opportunities, salaries and recruitment

Recruitment of engineers is seen almost everywhere, be it in cities, rural areas or other places, depending on the specialization.  With technology touching our lives like never before, the employment opportunities for engineers is growing steadily.  It is predicted to grow by 11 per cent between 2006 and 2016 which is as much as the national average for all occupations.

Career change is also a very plausible option in an engineering career.  Though Engineering is generally done in a specified subject you always have the option of switching to related branches to fill in vacancies there.  Changing over to managerial positions is also a feasible option with the required experience.

Salaries can vary greatly depending on your specialization, education and the industry you are working for.  Presently, engineering jobs are among the highest paid jobs.   A Bachelor’s degree in engineering will get you a far better paying job than any other equivalent degree.
