Hospitality Schools, Colleges and Universities

A number of schools, colleges and universities offer various choices like an associate’s degree, a bachelor’s degree or even a Master’s degree in hospitality related fields. Courses are offered in hospitality management, administration, hotel management, gaming, food and beverages section et al.

A good advice would be to select the right course and right school or college, because this field requires largely vocational oriented programs rather than theoretical subjects. The colleges or universities must offer you on-the-job training or simulated work experience as only that will enhance your actual capabilities.

The objective of these courses must be, to give you practical training as it is very important for a career in the hospitality industry.  So, while deciding on a course or school, it is important to see whether the course is going to be good at teaching you ‘how to’ do the things rather than teach you ‘about’ them.

Some of the Popular Colleges/ Universities for Hospitality courses are:

California Culinary Academy, San Francisco, CA

International College of Hospitality Management, Suffield, CT

The Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL

Keiser Career College and National College also offer various courses in the field and are present at multiple locations.

Ellis University, Central Pennsylvania College-Online, International Business College and Penn Foster Career School-Online are among the few colleges which offer courses that can be taken online.
