Career description:

A Human Resource Assistant provides HR supervisors and managers with relevant information from time to time and also acts as the point of contact to clarify HR policies to employees. He prepares periodic reports on recruitment, HR costs, etc and sends to the HR heads. He processes and organizes all HR related documents in the organization and forwards mails to the appropriate authorities.

How to become an HR Assistant:

Though there is no specific course for a person to become an HR assistant, but firsthand knowledge on HR related concepts like administration, recruitment, company policies is considered beneficial. Also the candidate needs to possess computer skills for preparing various kinds of reports and processes.

After attaining Bachelor’s Degree in any stream, it’s better to pursue a full-time or a part-time course in human resources management. HR Certification in Employment laws, Administrative activities, etc will help you get a position as HR Assistant in any of the mid or small sized companies. A few years of experience will be required to get a middle management position as assistant to the HR Directors.
