IT Career Opportunities, salaries and recruitment

According to BLS Occupational Statistics and Employment Projections Program, there will be steep rise in the number of job openings in the IT Sector.  A 24 percent increase is projected in the job growth in the combined IT sector occupations between the years 2006 and 2016.  This is more than double that of the national average of 10%.

Though outsourcing and automation have contributed to a decline in some jobs in the IT fields, these are seen to be minimal and a career in IT Sector is still a growing one.

If you have strong knowledge and required qualifications, then you are always assured of good job opportunities.  It is also a good idea to combine IT skills with Management degrees, to improve your job prospects.

Network systems and Data Communications Analyst jobs are projected to be the fastest growing of all occupations, not only in the IT Sector but also among all other jobs in the USA.

The salary for IT jobs on the whole is much above the national average of $40,690.  In fact, sources claim that the IT Careers pay almost double that of the national average.
