The maintenance and cleaning activities is a very important part in any industry.  Sanitation and cleanliness standards are strictly implemented by various businesses or organizations to be eligible to operate.  The machine cleaner plays a very important role in such activities.  The machine cleaner takes care of machineries or equipments. It is his duty to inspect the equipment or machinery, use various cleaning tools or agents to maintain such machine or equipment, do minor repair, handle supply inventory, and transport all tools and equipments used.  The machine cleaner need not have a college degree but must complete high school.  But a desire to advance and move up the career ladder entails one to take college courses.  One must have the necessary background in safety and sanitation standards to be considered for this type of career.

To become a machine cleaner, one must complete high school or GED.  Gain relevant experience to become qualified for the career position.  Become familiar with the various cleaning tools and methods.  Knowledge of the safety regulations and sanitation standards applied in a specific area or industry is a must to be able to effectively do a machine cleaner career.
