How to become a Maternity Nurse

To become a maternity nurse, one must earn a diploma, associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing.  After completing the nursing program, one should take the National Council Licensure Examination to become a registered nurse.  One must get into midwifery school and complete a secondary education in maternity nursing.  Obtain a certification as a certified midwife or maternity nurse.  Take continuing education courses.Continuing education courses allows one to grow professionally.  Become a member of professional associations as well.
