The packaging line mechanic plays an important role in industrial settings.  He is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, adjustment, and operation of the packaging line equipment.  Should there be any malfunction or a problem encountered with the equipment, the packaging line mechanic takes on troubleshooting and diagnostic tasks.  He also takes care of the transport of specific materials or equipments from one place to the other.  The packaging line mechanic is to keep records and schedules of inspections, maintenance and repairs.  He must have the skills in handling different tools and equipments used in packaging.  One must also be armed with communication, math, computer and interpersonal skills.  To have these skills and mechanical background, one must undergo specialized training or earn a degree.
