How to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Start off a pediatric nurse practitioner career by earning a bachelor’s degree in nursing.  A degree is a requirement for one to become eligible in taking the NCLEX-RN exam.  After successfully passing this exam, one becomes a licensed registered nurse.  A registered nurse can then seek employment and pursue a position pediatric care.  Gain at least two years of experience as a pediatric nurse and earn a master’s degree in nursing through a course program for pediatric nurse practitioners.  Obtain a license and certification to be able to advance to the position of a pediatric nurse practitioner.
