The public relations manager takes on the lead in planning, developing and implementing public relations programs.  He coordinates and collaborates with media regarding press releases, queries, and events.  He is to supervise branding and printing activities of the organization. Aside from external communication, the public relations manager also handles communications within the organization.  This shall include newsletters, labor relations, annual financial status reports, speeches and archives.

To become a public relations manager, one must earn a bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations and other related field.  To gain the necessary experience and skills, one must get into an internship.  Gain experience in writing for publications or becoming part of media.  Join an association or group such as Public Relations Society of America.  Being a member of an association will help one network and fins employment opportunities.  Prepare and compile your portfolio of publications, articles, or any related work to public relations.  These will help one in landing a job.  Get a certification exam and pass it.  A certification will allow one to advance in his career.
