Real estate finance plays a very important role in the industry.  It provides the resources needed to keep the industry operating.  Real estate finance involves financial consultation, loans and other financial services.  One career in real estate finance is that of a real estate analyst.  The real estate analyst, with their knowledge of the real estate market, seeks to minimize an organization’s risk and maximize its profits.  He provides the financial model of an organization’s investment, manages real estate portfolios, accomplish financial reports based on his market analysis, and analyze real estate deals.  A real estate analyst needs to have excellent communication and analytical skills.  He must be able to work with analytical tools used for this type of job.

How to Become a Real Estate Analyst

An aspiring real estate analyst must earn a bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, finance or other related fields.  Getting into internships or part-time jobs will help one in gaining hands-on experience.  Having the basic skills and knowledge will help one get an employment.  An entry-level position, such as a real estate analyst assistant, gives one the opportunity to learn and experience the real world of a real estate analyst.  To be chosen by an employer, one must get a certification.  A certification makes one a credible real estate analyst.  To move up the corporate ladder, one may pursue a master’s degree in business administration coupled with his experience in the industry.
