Career Description:

A receiving handler is a professional who works in a logistics firm. His work place is generally located near a shipping dock and he is primarily held responsible for receiving goods and supplies from other parties and storing them at appropriate locations. The receiving handler takes the invoice from the supplier of goods, completes the formalities of transferring the goods to warehouses, etc.

How to become a Receiving Handler:

Although employers do not enforce a definite stream of education, candidates with a minimum of high school degree are recruited. An additional Bachelor’s degree qualification in operations and supply chain management would be beneficial. Candidates are expected to have good physical strength and should be honest in their work practices.
