A security systems technician career refers to those jobs where a person is given the responsibility for the installation, repair and maintenance of different types of security systems in a building. Every organization, company, residential apartment etc has a security system which protects the inhabitants of the building by having alarms for unauthorized entry, fire, burglary and so on.
The security systems technician makes any repairs if necessary, checks if the security system is in working condition and if all the safety codes are followed or not. He needs to have theoretical knowledge, training under an established technician as well work experience to do the job well.

In order to become a security system technician, you will need to have at least a high school degree or its equivalent after which you can get trained in a community college or under an expert so that you know how to install and maintain alarms or security cameras. You also need to be agile, physically fit and detail-oriented and must have clean criminal record
