Staff Analyst Career

A staff analyst plays an important part in policy formulation and decision making within the company.  One is to do research and analysis so that a company will be able to plan and develop sound business strategies.  The staff analyst collaborates with the management staff in order to address problems encountered by the business.  He is to come up with research plans and use a specific analytical method.  The analytical method is then used to collect and analyze important information.  The staff analyst is then tasked to compile and present a report regarding such findings.  Recommendations are made after research and analysis procedures.  The recommendations are used in the improvement of business operations.  These are used to bring about problem solutions.

How to become a Staff Analyst

To become a staff analyst, one must earn a bachelor’s degree in operations research, management science or other related degree.  Gain relevant experience and pursue higher studies.  Gain a master’s or s dual graduate degree.  This will give way for advancement to higher positions in the company.  Gain background in political science, statistics, accounting, economics, engineering and management.  One must be able to think critically and solve problems efficiently.  One must be able to work with various software, applications, tools and methods to perform one’s job as a staff analyst.
